There are no specific air conditioners we fitguide for 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon as it will come down to if your rooftop is structurally capable of supporting an air conditioner. A unit like the Furrion # FR52PR weighs 76lbs and unless the roof was braced to hold something with that amount of weight. Nick, unfortunately all of our AC units with a heat pump like # AT15033 are only compatible with ducted systems. So with that said, you're going to be out of luck.
But, we can still get you a new AC with a soft start. I recommend checking out the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner System w/ Start Capacitor # ASA58YR.

The 8534C8797 is showing as a 15,000BTU unit so the 48008-969 (13,500BTU) would technically connect and work, but wouldn't be as efficient at cooling the trailer. This sounds like an issue with the Coleman thermostat/controller. I would recommend changing to the Advent which we have either a Manual Air Distribution Box # ACDB or Thermostat Air Distribution Box # ACRG15. view full answer...
Hey Roy thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the Dometic Wall Thermostat # DMC79FR is not going to be compatible with your Coleman AC system. The only way to use the Dometic thermostat would be switch out the entire Coleman AC system for a Dometic System. It may be worth checking with Coleman to see if they offer a digital thermostat. Hey William, so the Air Lift Air Shock Controller Compressor System for Air Shock Absorbers # AL25804 that you referenced is rated for up to 160 psi so it would easily handle 100 psi. For a union tee fitting you'd then want the part # F3025-1.

Hey Scott, so our records show that sometime in 2003, Freightliner made design changes to their suspension which affected fitment of pretty much all of the Roadmaster sway bars and steering stabilizers. In our conversations with Roadmaster, the only potential option for a 2004 Freightliner is the # RM-RBK14-RSSA. There are a few requirements for fitment though. The square vents we offer all require a 14" x 14" opening in order to be installed. You can always add in some wood to increase the thickness of the roof but the hole size is going to be something that has to be right. With it being an enclosed trailer you can easily cut the roof to make the correct size hole. Rooftop condenser units, like the Furrion # FR58PR, you referenced just have a wire harness with either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector that hangs down from the bottom of the unit and plugs into the control box. With yours not having an air distribution box or access from below could mean that they cut the connector off and ran extra wiring over to wherever the control box was mounted.
